I did this painting from a photograph as part of my oil painting class last year.
I love the girls' excitement in being photographed, especially that of the younger one on the right.

- Art has been my interest for many years, but I have not been able to transform it into a serious hobby until recently. Last year I decided to take some after-work lessons in oil painting at the local art institute. I was hooked. Not only did I realize that I can paint, I found that it had a therapeutic effect on me. So, in an attempt to be a bit more serious about my newfound hobby, I have enrolled in a painting certificate program at the institute. Aside from my class work, I plan to devote 3 to 4 hours per week to painting and learning about it as I go. The blog is to help me keep a record of my progress.
